Nomination Day

Filed Under:

Finally, the nomination day for the General Election is over. News including:

Three way fight in Sibu and Stampin for Sarawak. PKR decided to field its candidates in these traditional DAP seats.

Dominique Ng decided not to contest in Kuching. (thank god.)

Five way fight in Sarikei, Kung Chin Chin contesting as an independent! (I’d support Kung Chin Chin and I’m speechless)

Ginie Lim is nominated as a state-seat candidate under the Keadilan banner! (Melaka’s N8 Machap)

In Sabah, Kalabakan, Pensiangan parliamentary seat won uncontested by BN! (Joseph Kurup go die!!)

Azalina won Penggeram parliamentary uncontested, again! (on the way to become UMNO Wanita chief?)
Kapit in Sarawak goes uncontested by BN!

Four way fight for Kota Kinabalu parliamentary seat, Yee Moh Chai decided not to contest and gives way to party member.

Jeff Ooi to contest in the Jelutong Parliamentary seat in Penang.

Teresa Kok to contest in Kinrara state seat other than her Seputeh Parliamentary seat.

Mahathir’s son, Mukriz to contest in Jerlun parliamentary seat in Kedah, next to Kubang Pasu.

Donald Mojintin, previously from Penampang parliamentary seat, to contest in Moyog state seat - gives way to Bernard Dompok.

Lim Guan Eng to contest in Bagan, Penang.

I now understand why election candidates would have butterflies in their stomaches until they are officially nominated. They might fail to hand in their nomination form successfully and fall into all sorts of technical problems including being late, forgetting to fill in some information into his/her form, incorrect information, ugly handwriting, etc etc.
